Best cafés to work in Bali – Seminyak & Canggu
When I chose Bali as my temporary global office, I love to discover new cafés and places. The food is great in all places. There are just a few differences, which may help you pick your workplace for the day. Here are some of my favorite spots and best cafés to work in Bali – Seminyak & Canggu so far (not in a particular order)
This cute place located on Jalan Batu Bolong in Canggu has everything you need: super nice stuff, plugs, good wifi, and not too busy. The food is great. I haven’t tried everything on their menu so far, but I am pretty sure that I would recommend everything 😉
Café during the day, lounge at night, a co-working space with highspeed internet on the upper floor, and not to forget an amazing view of the rice fields behind the building. When you just stop by to do some regular work on your laptop or to check some emails, you get free wifi for 2 hours with every purchase. If you actually need the highspeed internet, you can buy day, week or monthly passes and access the co-working space.
In the heart of Canggu, you find the Betelnut café. Downstairs, you find a small room with air-conditioning and one or two plugs, a bigger open area is upstairs. It gets quite crowded during breakfast and lunch times, but I worked there for a few hours while enjoying their delicious breakfast.
This place serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It has an air-conditioned room with approx. 10 tables. Try to get one where you can sit on the bench to be close to the next plug. The place fills up during lunch hours, like all cafés 😉
Milk & Madu
If you like to sit outside, I recommend this one. The fans under the sealing make sure, the air does not get too sticky. They serve all types of food and also have a changing choice of cakes for everyone with a sweet tooth. Bonus: Nadu Bowls is located on the same premises, so you can also order some of their delicious smoothie bowls. The wifi is OK, but gets a bit slow, when the café gets more crowded during lunch or dinner times. Plugs are located under the benches.
A small café, rather remote from all the other places in Canggu, but definitely worth it. I haven’t checked for plugs when I was there, but the atmosphere in their backyard is lovely (and the french toast with bacon and fruits has #foodporn potential). In my opinion great for checking emails in a calm environment. And when you want to relax after the work is done, there is a spa right on top of the café;)
This café located on a small side street in busy Seminyak serves all kinds of food, also the aforementioned Nadu Bowl that you can also get in Canggu. I had a huge breakfast plate that I could barely finish (this has to mean something;) The wifi is good and if you are lucky you get one of the tables where you have access to plugs. It’s on the first floor of the building, no A/C, but even on sunny days, I did not find it too hot.
Small café located on Jl. Batu Belig. They offer a lunch buffet where you can pick your favorite savory pieces such as salads, pastries, vegetables, meat, and more. They also serve à la carte, but I would go for the lunch buffet. I did not work there, but I saw many people with their laptops;)
This list will be continued. I can’t wait to be back in Bali to discover more places;)
